A TikTok that Oklahoma Democratic Senate nominee N’Kiyla Jasmine Thomas posted in September 2025 referencing the movie “Mean Girls” resurfaced on Wednesday after she secured the Democratic nomination. Thomas, a nurse and self-described democratic socialist, defeated attorney Jim Priest in Tuesday’s primary runoff. She is set to face an uphill battle in a state that President Donald Trump carried by nearly 35 points. The short video shows Thomas in an all pink room as audio of screaming from the movie plays. She is then seen cutting out a photo of Markwayne Mullin — who was one of Oklahoma’s senators at the time of the video's posting — and pasting it into a “burn book.” Next, she writes in the book as she narrates, “Markwayne Mullin is a terrible senator. Do not vote for him. He is a Christian nationalist and a mediocre white man.”
